Backcountry Snowboard


The Snowboard camps- Backcountry Snowboard camps. two-day training is performed in the Olympus and more specifically in the West-Southwest, Thessaly Olympus. Their aim is to correct learning Slalom on track and further teaching techniques for off-piste descents (snow variety, slope gradients, backcountry hiking, safe motion) exploration and downhill remote peaks and slopes. Addressed to riders who can perform both turns on blue track. Furthermore it presents the splitboarding small path made using splitboards and listing on splitboard touring.

Through the 16 hr curriculum students come into contact with a variety of snow conditions and field improving their technique and expanding the safe approach the mountain.

The program is aimed at all those who wish to complete their technical and enhance their confidence in off-piste skiing, such as:

  • Completion of the technical ski and snowboard on and off the track
  • To improve the techniques of ski mountaineering
  • To improve the techniques of backcountry snowboard
  • To improve and use splitboard
  • Use of rescue equipment
  • Evaluation of terrain
  • Monitoring and evaluation "line downhill"
  • To improve motion downhill in steep slopes, icy terrain, fresh snow, wet snow.

Our stay will be organized in mountain refuge 10 people, in 1800m altitude in Vrissopoules with organized kitchen. There is a fireplace and mini bar and all the comforts of an organized accommodation.

8:30       Meeting in parking outside the gate of Camp K.E.O.A.CH (necessary identities)
8:45       Convenient things in our facility and prepare for class.
9:00       Opening training courses
12:00 - 12:30       Break snacks and hydration
15:00       End-education courses - Return to rest shelter and food all together.
20:00       Theoretical lesson, dialogue exchange.
